Youth Life Foundation visits Art for the Journey at Independence Golf Club

DSCN0909

Art for the Journey volunteer Jamie Wigginton provided a wonderful painting experience for Richmond’s Youth Life Foundation at #Independence Golf Club on Friday May 13.

Fun was had by all!  The students were delighted and amazed as they were provided with easels and canvases and each painted a Tree on a bright and beautiful background that then also embellished with colorful buttons.  The project related to a story read to them by Jamie Wigginton in the Sawyer Center at Independence Golf Club.  The experience was a success, with many smiling and focused young artists creating each piece with individuality and flair!  The Youth Life Foundation made the experience possible by transporting 22 children ages 8-11 to #Independence for the Art for the Journey experience!

Future events are being planned!  See some of the photos here.  For more information about Art for the Journey please visit the website at:  www.artforthejourney.org or call Volunteer Coordinator Cindy Paullin at 804-543-4516.
