OMA Facilitator Training and Certification

Selected by Scripps Gerontology as one of four facilitator training partners, Art for the Journey is preparing to host the first Richmond, Virginia based one day practicum for participants in the Fall of 2017. “Opening Minds Through Art” (“OMA”), founded by Dr. Elizabeth Lokon, is a person-centered, intergenerational abstract Art program designed to help people with dementia or Alzheimers.

* Art for the Journey and Scripps Gerontology-Miami University, Ohio have opened registration for the on-line course through Miami University, Ohio, and a one day practicum to be held at Saint Mary’s Woods Retirement Community on November 3rd, 2017.
