A very special THANK YOU to our Title Sponsor, Mr. and Mrs. E. Claiborne Robins, Jr. who helped make this event possible and extraordinary! Pictured above, Jamie Wigginton, Director of Operations, E. Claiborne Robins, Jr., Cindy Paullin, CEO, and Mark Hierholzer, President and Founder of Art for the Journey.
“Brushstrokes for Hope and Health” was held on September 25th, 2025, bringing hundreds of members of the community together for the purpose of promoting positive mental health and well-being through art.
75 Artists exhibited over 200 works of art, and paintings were sold to guests who will place the art in their homes and tell the story of how this art purchase will help a child who has experienced trauma, a veteran living with PTSD, an adult living in addiction, or an elder living with dementia or social isolation. Every painting or clay object, or other art item that was sold will help someone in need and bring beauty to their home as well.
This was Art for the Journey’s BEST Art Gala fundraising event ever! with the highest net income and the most new participants!
We are elated to have people from around the community join us in supporting our mission to transform lives through art. We could not have achieved this success without the support of our sponsors and volunteers and gala committee!
Thank you to the artists and to all involved for coming together to help others in our community through our annual Art Exhibition! Thank you, Virginia Museum of History and Culture, for this extraordinary venue to help us gather hundreds of community members. What an extraordinary museum and gift to our region!
Please join us again next year!
