Art for the Journey provides residents with limited resources, space, and recreational outlets with opportunities to share a creative experience and combat social isolation.
Residents at Marywood Apartments in Richmond do not experience the benefit of an Activities Director with regularly designed programming. As we age, it is imperative that we find ways to socialize, and to have access to meaningful activities, especially through creative expression.
The joy and well-being that comes from these activities is available to all involved.

Our painting classes for the elderly bring together residents with limited resources, providing them with a space to create and connect through art.
Through these fun and inspiring activities, we combat social isolation and help promote well-being and a sense of achievement among our participants. Their original artwork is proudly displayed in their living spaces, doubling as galleries for their beautiful creations.
