Just do it

You’ve been thinking about taking an art class lately. Maybe someone you know does art and talks about how enjoyable it is. Or maybe the thought just keeps popping into your mind on its own. Maybe you’re stressed and looking for some space? Or you’re dealing with a big change in your life and are seeking some perspective? Or maybe it’s just time to do something different.

You’ve come to the right place. We make it easy for you. Our studio classes are open to the public and are individualized enough so anyone at any level – or no level – can participate (OK, you can’t even do stick men… big deal). We provide all the materials. And refreshments.

And sometimes we paint outside!

Start any time. All you have to do is make it through the door. Cost? It’s $240 for six two and a half hour sessions. And if you miss a session you can make it up. They’re your sessions; you paid for them. Everything is included.

There are two options for time:
1. Monday afternoons from 1:30 to 4 p.m. or
2. Tuesday evenings from 6:30 to 9 p.m. In our regular classes we teach oil painting in the French Impressionist style with artist Mark Hierholzer. You’ll love it.

Contact Mark at learnmore@artforthejourney.org. We will set you up. Just do it.

Join Art for the Journey for a night of art, food, drink, and pickleball! This "Mash-up" of ART and PICKLEBALL is a fun way to share the mission of Art for the Journey to transform lives through art and community!

This year, we have a super fun evening planned. There will be lots of art donated by local area artists, pickleball demos, pickleball courts for play, and lots of delicious food from the Sharper Palette, Belle Isle cocktails, a delicious assortment of fine wine, and a wonderful silent auction. You can play or you can simply watch and mingle! You can definitely see and bid on art, and enjoy the new and different ambience! Also, if you can not attend, you can register to bid on art during the silent auction right from home. We do hope to see you there!!!

Help Art for the Journey by attending the event, and you will make a difference in the lives of people ages five to 105! Art for the Journey seeks to deliver and promote positive mental health and well-being for those who have least access. This fun event will also help others!
