Susan Chesson Art Bio August 2026
Susan has described painting as a transformation into a place of no time or space, an actual energy giving force. She considers it to be her “happy place”!
Because of her great love of color, she is drawn to things of nature; especially water.
Watercolor was her first love, which she describes as having a soft flowing transparent appearance. Moving into acrylic and abstracts was a way to express herself with much bolder colors and texture. The next discovery was painting with ink, which has allowed her to combine the transparent effects of watercolor, but retain more depth of color.
Susan is a life-long lover of the beach, the ocean and most any body of water and some of her most recent works reflect this. She is now able to combine two of the things that she is most passionate about; art and the ocean.
Being a part of Art For The Journey is a great way to contribute to this ministry.
