In continuing to honor the wonderful individuals who make up the volunteer world of Art for the Journey, the individual we are honoring for the month of April is Mary Catherine!
Mary Catherine became involved with Art for the Journey through our president and founder, Mark Hierholzer upon the creation of this organization. Mary Catherine has been involved with Art for the Journey as a volunteer through all ten years of its existence!
Mary Catherine has worked behind the scenes in the preparation, creation and development of all the programs at AFJ. She has been a part of the Gala Planning Committee, received her certification for volunteering with incarcerated women and worked directly within our veterans programs.
"Art has a wonderful way of bringing together all individuals, while balancing out the chaos of life. I truly believe that volunteering for Art for the Journey has enriched my life, almost as much as the programs that enrich the lives of the individuals that this organization works with." - Mary Catherine.
